SITUTAION -VS- IMAGINATION PART 2  

The great Norman Vincent Peale once said: "The secret of life isn't what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you." It's not falling, making mistakes or even hitting rock bottom that will control your fate in life: it is how you respond and rise out of the ashes that determines the difference between success and failure.

Most of us have heard the stories of great people like Henry Ford, John Johnson of Ebony and Jet fame. A.L. Williams who went from being a high school football coach to creating the A.L. Williams and becoming one of the greatest businessmen of our times. Sam Walton, Walt Disney, Oprah Winfrey, Thomas Edison and a host of others who have overcame major setbacks to grow to greatness.

But today I want to share the stories of a few rich but maybe not yet so famous people who truly live by imagination and not by situations. I am blessed to know these people personally, they are great friends and mentors of mine.

Les Brown was born in Liberty City in Miami, Florida. He and his twin brother were adopted at six weeks by Mrs. Mamie Brown. In school he was labeled a slow learner. Les has no formal education beyond high school. But, Les did not let his situation overwhelm his imagination.
