How to Beat the Signs of Aging: Smooth with Botox, Fill with Restylane

SMOOTH WITH BOTOX, FILL WITH RESTYLANE

Creams, lotions, serums and elixirs are simply not strong enough to keep wrinkles at bay in the absence of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Unfortunately, the reason wrinkles occur at all is because we don't make collagen or hyaluronic acid after the age of 40.Because of the amazing results, demand for Restylane jumped 927% in 2004 and Botox injections have increased 280% since 2002!

Constant squinting in the Arizona sun has left even some of our patients in their late 20's with "hatchet" marks between their eyes, causing them to look tired and older than their years. Left untreated for decades, this is difficult to correct completely without plastic surgery or advanced technology such as Portrait Skin Regeneration.

Early maintenance with Botox and Restylane is one of the very best solutions to keeping your face wrinkle free. While Botox smoothes wrinkles, Restylane fills wrinkles. When used together, they are a powerful tool in the war on premature aging.

The time to take action is when you first notice wrinkles that are visible in a resting state. Botox can smooth the area and prevent a fine wrinkle from turning into a Grand Canyon sized crevasse. Botox works by blocking the flow of acetylcholine from the nerves to the muscle so that you can rest that muscle for three to four months! A fringe benefit is a much calmer, relaxed expression. People will not see so easily that you are upset, angry, or worried. Patients with very powerful musculature between their eyes often remark that friends and family say they look angry even when they are not.

Restylane is a tool that can be used to fill up areas needing "plumping" such as lips or deep lines. Restylane is hyaluronic acid, which gives your skin the full, plump appearance of youth. Production of hyaluronic acid diminishes with age. Fortunately, Restylane allows us to put it back. Since we are injecting into sensitive areas such as the cheeks or lips, you will be numbed prior to injection with 2% lidocaine anesthetic. Just like at the dentist's office, you will not feel us working. Lip fullness can become incredibly defined, especially at the Cupid's bow area. Whether you want the look of Angelina Jolie or not , fuller lips are undeniably youthful and sexy!

Restylane can also be used in the fleshy part of the face. At the area around the mouth that looks like marionette puppet lines, also known as nasolabial folds, the result is very dramatic. This area can be dramatically softened in only one office visit. Prominent Scottsdale aesthetic physician, Dr. Paul Stallone, loves the effect of Restylane on his patients. "We allow the patient to hold the mirror and watch as the transformation literally takes place over a few minutes."

All in all, the best solution is early maintenance and caring about the skin you have enough to keep wrinkles at bay with Botox and Restylane. All the creams, lotions, and portions in the world cannot smooth like Botox or fill like Restylane once the damage has been done.
