Simple ways to stay wrinkle free forever!by Beverly JohnsonWhile some women look at midlife as a time of letting go of natural beauty and growing old gracefully, others fight tooth and toenail (going to extremes, such as Botox, painful face lifts or skin peels) just to hang on to their looks. Before you give up on the beauty you were born with or resort to the unthinkable, you should know that there are simple, painless ways to keep your skin (and body) looking young and feeling healthy without the need for expensive and often risky medical procedures. Try out these free tips for skin care beauty and see the difference for yourself! 1. Hydrate well: Modern science has produced a link between a lack of water internally and the premature formation of wrinkles on the face and neck. The skin is similar to a plant, that receives it's nourishment and water requirements through it's roots. Although we don't have roots, our skin still draws it's nutrition and strength from the water we drink and the foods we eat. Age proof your face and skin with lots of fresh water daily. 2. Beauty begins on the inside. For healthier skin, stronger immune system, and slimmer waist line, eat lots anti-oxident rich (cancer fighting) vegetables and fruits. Not only will they help your body battle aging, fruits and vegetables will help keep your skinny without special diets. If you're not certain which foods you should consume, just think of the rainbow when filling your plate: Yellow and orange, (cantelopes, carrots, and oranges) green (phytochemical anti-aging vegetables like spinach, kale and brocolli), red, (tomatos, strawberries, and red bell peppers) blue (blue berries) and pink (watermellon) and don't forget apples. Make it your goal to try one new fruit or vegetable weekly. Limit consumption of red meats, poultry and dairy that come from animals raised using growth hormones, as these chemicals transfer directly into the human body where they are stored and even used! Promote inner balance by adding daily doses of natural fiber, either through bran cereals or consumption of legumes and beans. The more heathy things you add to your plate, the less room you'll have for the foods that may damage your body and skin. Consider a multi vitamin to reduce the nutritional gaps. 3. Be at peace with yourself and your surroundings! While it's tempting to get wrapped up in the daily soap opera of work and home life, you'll find that too much stress causes your body to release excess cortisol which can lead to hunger pains and rapid weight gain. Additionally, these chemicals have a negative effect on the heart and brain, causing you to live in a virtual, and perpetual fear state, even during peace times. If possible, avoid watching the evening news or getting involved in situations that require controversy or argument. While it's not always possible to avoid stressful situations or negative "gloom and doom" people, you can reduce the potential damage that stress has on your body with simple daily meditation, deep breathing and regular exercise.
4. Stay active: Consider adding light weight training to your daily aerobics routine. Weight training in women has been shown to prevent or slow the progress of certain degenerative diseases like osteoperosis. And, tight toned muscles are always a sign of youth. And, the natural chemicals produced during regular brisk exercise can help alleviate mild symptons of depression or blues and give you a more positive outlook on life. (Of course, you should always consult your doctor first, before undertaking any physical exercise program.)
5. You can prevent the formation of most wrinkles by protecting your skin agressively from the ravages of the environment. During summer wear a wide brim hat to sheild exposed facial skin when going outdoors and the strongest sun screen available to block out harmful, wrinkle causing UV Rays. During winter time, exfoliate skin regularly and moisturize daily to prevent skin from drying out. Dry skin wrinkles more easily, so it should be dealt with as soon as possible.
6. Cut out the bad habits. It's generally accepted that smoking isn't good for the health, but did you know that they can actually make you look older than you really are. The very act of smoking may cause you to develop pucker lines around your mouth. While, cigarette smoke can make your complexion look dingy and yellow. Additionally, toxins contained in cigarettes, including formaldehyde may shorten lifespan and cause health severe problems.
7. Get your ZZZ's. If you regularly run at full throttle, barely getting any sleep at all, you may notice that your face begins to look guant and weary. Nothing refreshes the complexion like a good night's sleep. 8. Skin care science has come a long way in the last thirty years when it comes to keeping women beautiful longer.
